Twin Falls/Jerome KOA Holiday Campground Review

Twin Falls was the first stop on our big road trip earlier this year that kicked off summer break. This KOA was a ten-hour drive from Denver, so it was a big push to get there. We wanted to get up north to Idaho early so that we could take our time doing all the sightseeing and exploring we had planned in the Pacific Northwest. I had never visited this KOA before and wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve been to Idaho many times as a child, but never spent much time in this area. Turns out, the whole place is beautiful. Full of big, beautiful trees and lots of fun things to do nearby like Shoshone Falls, Zip lining over the Snake River, golfing, kayaking, and more. We didn’t take the time to do any of those things as we had to keep on schedule for the rest of the trip, but we quickly realized that Twin Falls, Idaho needed to be added to our list of places to explore.

The campground was beautiful and inviting when we pulled in. Huge, gorgeous trees started our road trip off on a great foot. Plenty of space to pull our two large class-A rigs through and the staff was extremely helpful in escorting us to our campsites. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful and the store was stocked with all the essentials.

One of the things we enjoyed most about this campground was the activities available for our kids. After such a long time on the road, it was time for some much-needed time stretching our legs!

Our kids immediately noticed the little pedal karts and asked if we could rent one. These two must have spent a good hour just exploring the campground while we adults took turns walking behind them. We even took turns riding the karts around!

The other activity that our kiddos thought was just a hoot was the gold panning table. How cute is this? Idaho is known as the ‘gem state‘ so how perfect is this little setup? Here the kids are with their grandma where they must have spent most of the evening.

Inside the gift shop, they had bags of rocks you could purchase to use for the gold panning table. Each of the kids picked one out and had a blast panning through the contents. They were both so tickled with the “treasures” they uncovered and took their discoveries back to the motorhome to organize them.

There was also a pretty nice little playground for the kids to play on that our littlest one enjoyed. We also saw on the website that they have an ice cream social, although that was not going on the night we were staying there. The pool, although we didn’t swim that night, looked clean and well-maintained.

The campsites were good sized and our 37′ and 39′ rigs fit perfectly in both spots. It did not feel like we were cramped or that we were too close to our neighbors. Like I said before, the staff was super friendly and helpful. When we realized we needed a bundle of firewood, a huge bundle was brought to us mere moments after we requested it.

All in all, we really enjoyed this KOA and would definitely stay here again! Click here to visit their website to book your campsites now!
